Exporting data from Varicent Sales Planning

You can use the Varicent Sales Planning Integrations tools to export data from your planning cycle. To do this, you need to use a Varicent Sales Planning export connection. See, Creating a Varicent Sales Planning export connection.

Note

Currently, you can only export data from the Plan version of your planning cycle, even if your planning cycle is activated.

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Command center icon Screen_Shot_2021-10-04_at_5_40_21_PM.png.

  3. Under the Admin section, click Integrations.

  4. Click the Import data tab.

  5. In the Data connectors section, click Varicent Sales Planning.

  6. Select an existing export connection, or follow the steps linked at the start of this article to create a new one.

  7. From the Directory drop-down, select the planning cycle that you want to export data from. You don't have to choose the planning cycle you're working within.

  8. Click Next.

  9. Select the data to export, and then click Next. You can select multiple.

  10. Select the columns to export for each data set, and then click Next.

  11. Click Import data.

    Note

This imports the data to the View sources tab in the Integrations section. You can then use the Varicent Sales Planning Integrations tools to export the data.

  12. Click the View sources tab.

  13. Click the more options menu options.png at the end of the data source row you just imported, and then click Build pipe.

    Note

This opens the pipe builder. For more detailed information about using the pipe builder, see Build and visualize.

  14. Click + Tool to open the Tools dialog.

  15. Start typing Export in the search bar to bring up the Export tool.

  16. Select the Export tool and click + Add Tool.

    Note

By default, the Export tool is set up to export to CSV.

  17. Click Build to build your pipe.

  18. Select the Export tool, and then click download.svg Download.

    A CSV file downloads locally.
