Adding pin sets using new data

You can add pin sets to the map to mark locations that are important to your organization. For example, if you are a business that sells to the healthcare industry, you may want to create a pin set to mark the location of all hospitals in the US.

Before you import your pin set data, make sure that you've completed the following tasks:

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Territory view.

  3. On the battle card canvas, select the battle card that you want to add a pin set to.

  4. In the data tray, click the Territory definition tab.

  5. Switch the toggle from View grid to View map to open the map view.

  6. Click the pin icon location--person.svg and then click document--import.svgAdd pin set.

  7. Select Import new pin set data.

The file type is set to Pin set by default.

  8. Enter a name for your data table.

When you upload your pin set file, we save it under your data table name. You can use the same pin set data to add pins to another battle card.

  9. Click Choose a file.

  10. Navigate to your pre-formatted CSV file, select it, and then click Open.

    Tip

You can download a template file directly from the import dialog. Click Download template CSV file.

  11. Click Import.

  12. Customize your pin set settings:

    Note

We automatically select your data source based on the pin set file you just imported.

    1. Enter a name for your pin set.

This name displays in the map pins drop-down. You can select it to view this pin set on the map. The maximum character limit is 20 characters.

    2. Select a pin set icon.

This determines which icon we show to display your pins on the map.

    3. Select a pin set color.

This determines the color of your pins on the map.

  13. Click Add pin set.
