Comparing scenarios

You can compare maps of two battle cards from any scenario within your planning cycle. The compare mode launches two map versions side by side all in one view so that you can compare between them and draw insights. To compare maps:

  1. One the Planning cycles homepage, select an existing planning cycle.

  2. On the top of the planning cycle page, click on the drop down beside the current scenario name.

  3. Select Compare from the drop down menu.

  4. In the Compare mode pop up page, select the scenarios and the corresponding quota components and battle cards that you want to compare against each other.

    Warning

We do not recommend comparing the same battle cards from the same scenario.

    Tip

Contributors see all scenarios and battle cards regardless of access, however their map view is defined by their role permissions. So if you do not have access to a specific battle card from a scenario, the blank will appear blank to you.

  5. Click Compare.

This launches the map view in Compare mode where you will be able to the see the maps from the two scenarios you chose side by side.

  6. You can perform all the regular actions on the maps such as create territories, reassign geographies and accounts and unassign from territories, delete territories and more.

    Note

Any changes you make in compare mode will be applied as you make the edits, but to apply the change to your territories or accounts, you must run coinsort.

    Tip

You can share the map comparison web page with stakeholders by copying the link from your browser's address bar.
