Creating planning cycles
A planning cycle is a version of your organization's sales deployment model. It contains all your territory and quota planning for a given time period. Creating a planning cycle is the first step to getting started in Varicent Sales Planning. This is where you can set the duration of your plan, the interval cycle, and the fiscal start date.
On the Planning cycles home page, click + New cycle.
Enter a name for the planning cycle.
Enter a description for the new planning cycle.
In the Plan duration section, select the number of months that the planning cycle will be in effect.
In the Periodicity section, select the interval cycle (yearly, semi-annual, quarterly, or monthly) and the start date for the planning cycle.
Tip
The start date should reflect your organizations's fiscal start date.
In the Currency section, select the currency your organization uses for reporting.
Click Create.
