Territory planning

The territory planning features in Varicent Sales Planning allow you to divide your organization's market into individual territories. We offer a rich array of features for territory planning, such as territory building, coin sorting (sorting your historical sales activities into territories), territory balancing, seller assignment tools, and a territory map. These features empower you focus on your target market and create your go-to-market strategy.

You can divide your territories in a variety of different ways. For example:

  • A territory could be based on geographic regions, like a territory that includes New York City zip codes 10001 and 10002, or a territory that includes the entire New York state.

  • A territory could be based on one or more named accounts, like a territory that includes Big Company Inc. and Large Business Co.

  • A territory could be based on a specific industry, like a territory that includes businesses in the healthcare industry.

Once you've defined your territories, you will be able to assign sellers to them, keeping in mind your sellers' locations, strengths and weaknesses, and the particulars of the territory.
