Creating territories in complex rule view
You can create new territories while visualizing complex rules on the map.
On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.
Click the Territory view.
In the data tray, click the Territory definition tab.
Switch the toggle from View grid to View map to open the map view.
To visualize the map of your choice, click on the
icon beside the current map, which, depending on which map was last opened, will either be the Geographies map or the Customer accounts map
On the Map visualization settings dialogue, choose either the Geographies map or Customer accounts map and select the corresponding Complex rules option.
Select a hierarchy.
Click View map.
Click the Hierarchy filter.
On the filter, set the operator Is equal to to filter the hierarchy by. For example If a custom hierarchy that is Industry is being visualized, you can apply the filter Tech to display the territories that have specifically the industry, Tech attached to them.
Right-click on the segment of the map. You will see different options to manage the territories based on your choice of map visual and your selection of Geographic region, Territory or Accounts view.
Geo region - Select some regions and then right click on your selection and choose the option Create new territory.
Account - Select unassigned accounts and then right click on your selection and choose the option Create new territory.
