Approving or rejecting quota adjustments (contributors)

When a previous contributor in the quota approval workflow submits their adjustments, you can review these adjustments and then approve or reject the changes.

Note

This procedure applies to contributors that own territory group types or battle cards.

  1. Log into Varicent Sales Planning.

  2. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle where your administrator started the quota approval workflow.

The contributor view opens. This view shows you the territory groups that you own.

  3. Expand the battle card or territory group type that you own until you can see the territory groups.

  4. Click a territory group to view the territories in the Allocate quota table.

  5. Review the quota adjustments and comments left by the previous contributors.

    Note

You can't make quota adjustments unless you are the first contributor in the workflow process (the territory group owner), but you can leave comments.

  6. Choose to approve or reject the changes:

    • Click Approve - this approves the changes and moves the workflow to the next step in the process.

    • Click Reject - this rejects the changes and pushes the workflow back to the previous step in the process. If you choose to reject, make sure you leave comments in the Allocate quota table so the previous contributor knows what to change.

      Note

Only the territory group owner can directly make quota adjustments. This means that if the battle card owner rejects the changes and bumps the workflow back to the territory group type owner, the territory group type owner will then need to reject the changes and bump the workflow back to the territory group owner.

  7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until you have approved or rejected every territory group.

  8. On the battle card or territory group type row, click Submit.
