Varicent Sales Planning Release 94
Something new this way comes.
Check it out!
Introducing map segmentation with custom hierarchies
We have some exciting new updates for our Sales Planning map, starting with the ability to now view more than one custom hierarchy on the map when visualizing your territories that have complex rules. The map view now supports visualizing all your custom hierarchies all at once. We even show you a count of all the available custom hierarchies when you choose to turn on the complex rules view in the Geographies map or the Customer accounts map.
We have new filter options that allow you to choose from different hierarchies and hierarchy levels to customise which your accounts and territories appear on the map. We are calling the results from applying your filters a segment. A map segment essentially shows you only the accounts or territories belonging to the custom hierarchies you used in your filter. For example, if your industry is set to Tech and product is set to Laptops, the map segment shows you only the customer accounts or territories that have those specific hierarchies in their rules.
From here, you can save this segment, create a new one, or edit an existing one so that the next time you open up the map, you can just open up a pre-configured segment for easy access to your custom hierarchies.

It's even better now...
We took the time to revamp some of the things you already love.
Enhanced Account Map Filtering Options
We’ve added the ability to further filter your customer accounts on the map. For those who need to differentiate between assigned and unassigned accounts, a new menu with multi-select check boxes is available at the bottom right of the map in the account view and territory view of the map. These updates are designed to help you focus on what matters most, ensuring that your account map is as informative and efficient as possible.

Coinsort - if the editable toggle is on, users are able to see coinsort and can run coinsort.
Territory groups - if the editable toggle is on, users are able to add, delete, and modify territory groups.
Territory rules - If editable toggle is on, users are able to able to create, edit and delete territory rules.
We have also enhanced the ability of the Territory definition permission. If editable, users will now be able to create, edit and delete territory rules.

Enhanced Account Quota Tracking
We have added new records to the Account quota grid in Manage and to the exports, Manage | Rule Based Assignment | Account Redirects Only and Manage | Account Moves. These records have been added to help you provide an even more comprehensive insight into your account moves.
In the account quota grid, we have included the column Previous territory to help you easily identify the territory an account was in before any move.
In the two exports mentioned above, we have added the Previous territory column as well as a new row to track when an account is moved to an unassigned status, indicating any gaps in assignment periods.
Expanded Geo Hierarchy Support
We are excited to announce enhanced support for geographic hierarchies across several Asia Pacific countries and Brazil. This update includes comprehensive admin level and postal level support, allowing for greater granularity in geographic data. The countries now supported are: Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Japan, Cambodia, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, American Samoa, Guam, Norther Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S Virgin Islands.
While we strive to provide full support, some administrative levels are not yet available due to duplication issues in countries like Japan, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Rest assured, we are prioritizing solutions for these challenges.
