Territory balancing using the map

You can use the map to visually balance your territories. See at a glance if some territories are larger than others, and then select the territories to review the data available on the insights card about the number of regions and accounts associated with the territory. With this information, you can make decisions about how you want to balance your territories. You can easily select geographic regions from one territory and then move them to another.

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Territory view.

  3. On the battle card canvas, select the battle card that contains territories you want to balance using the map.

  4. In the data tray, click the Territory definition tab.

  5. Switch the toggle from View grid to View map to open the map view.

  6. Geo region is the default map view. You can also click on on the drop down menu option on the top left corner of the map to make the selection.

The geographic region view lets you select individual geographic regions (depending on your selected geographic level).

  7. Use your preferred selection tool to select a geographic region on the map:

    Note

Currently, to move geographic regions from one territory to another, you can only select regions that belong to the same territory. For example, you can move zip codes from Territory 1 to Territory 2, but if you select zip codes from Territory 1 and Territory 3, you won't be able to move them.
