Sales Planning Assistant

The Sales Planning Assistant is a generative AI efficiency and productivity tool that aims to streamline operations, minimize efforts querying data and unlock insights all while staying in Varicent's secure platform.

Current functionalities of the Assistant include:

  • Actionable data insights: Uncover, distill, and visualize your data to pinpoint account, seller, and territory alignments with precision. Instantly verify compliance with business rules, eliminate errors, and transform raw data into actionable insights to drive smarter decisions. 

  • Intelligent Auditing: Unlock a detailed audit trail for every change to territories and quotas, complete with who made the changes and when. Gain full transparency and accountability to build trust and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Enhanced Scenario Comparison: Quickly compare metrics across territories to evaluate performance, optimize resource allocation, and make confident decisions that maximize revenue potential. Analyze strategic investments dynamically to chart the best course forward.

To use the Sales Planning Assistant,

  1. Go to the Planning cycles home page.

  2. Open up a Plan.

  3. Look to the top right corner of the plan page and click the Assistant button.

  4. Type a question into the text field, and then click the Send message icon , or press ENTER on your keyboard.

    Assistant will respond to your question.

  5. If desired, ask another question.

  6. When you're done, click the Close chat icon to close the window.

Example questions and responses

The following section shares example questions and responses for the Assistant. If you ask the Assistant a question that is not related to Sales Planning, it will respond notifying you that it can only answer questions pertaining to Sales Planning.

Intelligent auditing

  • Who was the last person to make changes?

  • What changes were made to [Territory name]?

  • What changes where made on [date]?

  • Summarize all changes made on [date].

  • Can you summarize all changes made in the month of [month]?

  • Can you draft an email to each individual change owner to let them know these changes were made out of a change window?
