Sales Planning Assistant
The Sales Planning Assistant is a generative AI efficiency and productivity tool that aims to streamline operations, minimize efforts querying data and unlock insights all while staying in Varicent's secure platform.
Current functionalities of the Assistant include:

Intelligent Auditing: Unlock a detailed audit trail for every change to territories and quotas, complete with who made the changes and when. Gain full transparency and accountability to build trust and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Enhanced Scenario Comparison: Quickly compare metrics across territories to evaluate performance, optimize resource allocation, and make confident decisions that maximize revenue potential. Analyze strategic investments dynamically to chart the best course forward. Ask about disruption summary to determine impact and gain insight into account movements and key changes.
Territory creation: Create empty territories when optimizing to increase your territory count. started, simply provide a unique territory ID, a name, the territory group it belongs to, and the associated battle card. Assistant will validate these inputs and once validated, you’ll receive a summary of the proposed territory details, and you can choose to approve or reject the creation. Upon approval, the territory will appear in the territory grid, ready for you to add rules later via file upload or directly through the UI.
Account moves: Move accounts between territories with ease by explicitly stating which accounts to move or by asking the Assistant to list territories and then moving all or a subset of the listed accounts. Assistant will create an override or update the base rule depending on the kind of move being done. You'll just need to specify the account key and territory ID instead of names, as there may be duplicates of territory names.
For example, if territory 1 has account A, B and C, you can ask Assistant to move account C to territory 2. This is for instances when the base rule is made up of simple hierarchies such as geographies and accounts. For instances where territories have rules custom hierarchies in the rules such as product, Assistant keeps the base rule of the source territory intact and just creates an override in the destination territory. For example, if territory 1 has Geography = CA and Product = Laptop, and territory 2 has Geography = NY and Product = Automobiles, Assistant will move accounts from territory 1 to territory 2 and add the new accounts as overrides (i.e. accounts falling outside of a territory's base rule configuration).

To use the Sales Planning Assistant,
Go to the Planning cycles home page.
Open up a Plan.
Look to the top right corner of the plan page and click the Assistant button.
Type a question into the text field, and then click the Send message icon , or press ENTER on your keyboard.
Assistant will respond to your question.
If desired, ask another question.
When you're done, click the Close chat icon to close the window.
Example questions and responses
The following section shares example questions and responses for the Assistant. If you ask the Assistant a question that is not related to Sales Planning, it will respond notifying you that it can only answer questions pertaining to Sales Planning.
