Data file templates

We created template files that you can download and populate with your own data. These template files contain all the required columns and column formats. You may need to add additional columns depending on any customizations you may have made. For example, if you have added a custom hierarchy, you may want to include a column for that hierarchy in your activity file.

If you choose to use these templates, we still recommend that you read the linked documentation about formatting data for each file type, as well as the general recommendations for formatting your CSVs.

Important

The hierarchy file templates available in this table are for Customer Accounts and custom hierarchies. Geographies hierarchy data comes standard and can be added directly using the Varicent Sales Planning user interface. See Standard Geographies hierarchy data.
