Defining territory groups

Use territory groups to group together one or more territories. You can add territory groups under your territory group type. For example, you might create a territory group called Canada under the Geographies territory group type. In this case, territories within Canada would be contained in this territory group.

Adding territory groups

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Territory view.

  3. On the battle card canvas, choose a battle card, and then click Plan territories.

  4. Hover over the territory group type or territory group pill where you want to create your territory group, and then click the Add territory group icon Add icon circled.

  5. Enter a name for your territory group.

  6. Select a territory group owner.

    Tip

    The territory group owner is used for workflows, so that the owner can contribute to territory and quota planning.

  7. Click Add.

Editing territory groups

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Territory view.

  3. On the battle card canvas, choose a battle card, and then click Plan territories.

  4. Hover over the territory group pill that you want to edit and click the edit icon Screen_Shot_2021-06-08_at_6_26_27_PM.png.

  5. Edit the territory group as required.

  6. Click Update.

Deleting territory groups

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Territory view.

  3. On the battle card canvas, choose a battle card, and then click Plan territories.

  4. Hover over the territory group pill that you want to delete and click the delete icon delete icon.

    Note

    Before you can delete a territory group, you need to move any territories contained within it to another territory group. You can individually edit a territory to change its territory group.

  5. On the confirmation dialog, click Delete.
