Submitting quota adjustments (contributors)

When a quota approval workflow starts, territory group owners can access the planning cycle and make quota adjustments for their territories. They can then submit these adjustments, along with their comments, to the territory group type owner for approval.

Note

This procedure applies to contributors that own territory groups.

  1. Log into Varicent Sales Planning.

  2. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle where your administrator started the quota approval workflow.

    The contributor view opens. This view shows you the territory groups that you own.

  3. Click a territory group to view the territories in the Allocate quota table.

  4. Click the expand icon chevron--right.png next to the Quota Adjustment column.

  5. Enter an adjustment value for each period in the planning cycle.

    These periods are determined based on the periodicity of your planning cycle, for example, annually, quarterly, and so on. This adjusts the total allocated quota for the territory. The Updated Quota column updates to show the new quota amount.

  6. Enter a comment in the Comments column to explain the reason for your change.

  7. When you're finished making quota adjustments, click Submit.

  8. Repeat steps 3 to 7 for every territory group that you own.
