Importing quotas below territories

If you've set up quota breakdowns on your battle card, you can use a pre-generated quota file to import quotas into Varicent Sales Planning. You download this file as part of the built-in import process and it comes pre-populated with your territories and quota breakdowns. This way you don't need to create the structure yourself.

Note

Some notes on using the pre-generated quota template:

  • Before downloading, you must first run coin sort.

  • The template is for the selected quota component only. You must import quotas for each quota component on the battle card.

  • Changing the template may cause data integrity errors. Only update the Value column with your quota targets.

Before importing quotas below territories, make sure you've completed the following tasks:

  1. On the Planning cycles home page, click the planning cycle to open.

  2. Click the Quota view.

  3. On the battle card canvas, select the battle card where you want to import quotas.

  4. In the data tray, click the Quota sheet tab.

  5. Click the Import icon document--import.svg, and then click Import quotas.

  6. Click Download template quota file.

We generate a quota file that contains your territories and quota breakdowns.

  7. Enter a quota value in the Value column for each row in the file.

  8. Save the quota file.

  9. Navigate back to Varicent Sales Planning and, on the Import quotas dialog, drop or upload your updated quota file.

  10. Click document--import.svgImport.

Your quota targets will appear in the Allocated (top-down) column. You can click the value under the Updated quota column to view your quota breakdowns. Any quota adjustments you made prior to importing quota targets are preserved.
